I shouldn't have removed all of them (it was like 3 am or so when I reverted you, sorry), but really, links are only necessary if the character has not yet been linked in the article (which I tend to check and manually link and unlink, depending) or if the name isn't blatantly obvious, which can/should be done whether the person's been linked before or not (i.e. pillow-pants (King Candy/Turbo), cough drop (Sour Bill, though you wouldn't link that on his own article if it was used there), even the glitch (Vanellope)). Forgive me for pulling some of my decisions and thoughts on this issue from Wikipedia's policy on it, because I don't believe there's an actual policy set up here that says overlinking is bad. Basically, the thought process is that you don't want a user to be bombarded with link after link to the same thing because it doesn't really help the user
I do apologize for the removal of some of your beneficial links (which I can go back and fix back up for you). I did state that a name does not need to be linked every time in my edit summary, which is visible via the page history, Special:RecentChanges, and occasionally (but not always) through the Wiki Activity tab on the navbar.
I am JosephHawk, Chat Moderator on here. I have been inactive for some time, but I just came back and saw all the hard work you have been doing, and I wanted to say, "good job!" and "thank you!" It's nice to see another user who has some knowledge on templates and coding (as I was the wiki's main templater/coder).
I'm not terribly experienced on template coding (and I knew next to zip before starting up here, surprisingly), but I'm a pretty experienced Wikipedia editor, so I've been surfing through that site looking at templates that do what I want and reading up on template code, and I've learned a lot thus far!
Nobody's blanking entire pages, but they're removing random factual things with no explanation (pieces of the official bios, random trivia, etc.). They seem to have stopped for now, but I'll warn them if they start back up (I would just warn them now, but I warned them for several other things earlier and don't want to overwhelm them with messages and warnings).
A lot of the pictures you've uploaded already existed here and are easy to find, but assuming you're not spamming the articles and repeatedly uploading the same images over and over that are already here, you'll be good. (I was a bit cranky when I came to you about the duplicates the first time, and I see you've uploaded a few of these once more, but I've just moved to replacing the ones you upload with originals (or just removing them depending) and deleting the duplicates.)
